Modestly laser engraved DLC maker's mark on each side of this beautifully colored, rare and exotic African Spalted Tamarind...a normally soft and punky wood, not easy to turn. But this piece has been stabilized with a high pressure injection of plastic resin, deep into the wood's pores, along with fully penetrating emerald green color dye.

Completely handmade and lathe turned from a single block of wood, with no glue holding the sides and axle together. Fixed axle, with a "nickel" width (~2 mm) string gap for responsive play, but it does sleep very easily and returns with a slight string pull. Very well balanced and a smooth spinner. Measures about 2.20" x 1.40" and weighs in at a hefty 75 grams (with string).
