Modest Davidson LatheCraft maker's mark laser engraved onto each side of the deep concave surfaces of this laminated SpectraPly.
Brake holes surrounding the axle help center the string in the gap channel, and enable a very smooth return.
100% handmade and lathe turned from a single block of laminated wood, with no glue holding the sides and axle together. Fixed axle, with "nickel" width (~2mm) string gap for responsive play. Perfectly balanced and a very silky smooth player. Sleeps well too, and returns with a slight tug. Measures about 2.25" x 1.45" and weighs in at 42 grams (with string).
